She creates the most wonderful pieces which reflects her various emotional states as she works. In her jewellery Jane produces pieces with a depth and range of colours that are exclusive to her own personal style. The combination of colours and effects achieved are the result of chemical etching and firing applied in layers on copper, a technique developed and refined over some time. Each piece is worked until Jane is completely satisfied. Once the desired effects are achieved, three coats of high tech finish are applied for protection. The clean finish of the silver is the used to frame and highlight the piece with the lustrous effects of 18ct gold providing a richness and finish. Wherever possible Jane likes to make her pieces multifunctional - stud earrings with detachable drops, or brooch/pendant combinations. she often likes adding little surprises to her works, such as making a pendent reversible, or providing a picture on the reverse of a brooch, one which only the wearer knows is there. Jane hopes that each piece will evoke a emotional response to whoever wears it.
