BONZ Leathers

All BONZ garments are manufactured with Baby Lamb Skin (Slinkskin).These are skins from lambs just a few days old. These lambs die of natural causes due to New Zealand’s spring frosts and heavy rain falls. On an average 8-10% of the lambs are lost.

Most garments are made-up using approximately 40 skins taking 6-8 hours to complete by experienced NZ craftsmen. All garments are coated with a “Water Resistant” spray making them easy maintenance for your convenience. All BONZ Lamb Leather garments are also dry-cleanable.

A few percent of the Baby Lamb skins are classed as “Super Light”, this being just day old lamb skins. Because they are only a day old, they are much smaller skins and extremely light weight. Quantities available are very limited.
